Brad Schwartz is a Portfolio Manager at BlueMountain. He is responsible for the Firm's trading in non-agency mortgage backed and asset-backed securities as well as investments in specialty finance companies. He joined the Firm in 2008 from J.P. Morgan, where he held a number of senior level positions in both the ABS investment banking group and the proprietary trading team over a twenty-year career.
In the early 1990s, Mr. Schwartz built J.P. Morgan's asset backed commercial paper conduit business into one of the biggest and most profitable in the industry. His responsibilities included originating, structuring, and risk managing transactions across all asset classes. In 2005 Mr. Schwartz started the ABS desk in J.P. Morgan's proprietary positioning business. The ABS group focused mostly on consumer assets, credit oriented non-agency mortgages as well as ABS CDOs.
Mr. Schwartz graduated from Dickinson College with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and received an M.B.A from Cornell University.
