I installed solar panels in my home to take advantage of the benefits being offered today, and save on my electric costs in the long run. I contacted two contractors to compare prices and solar systems, and one of them told me about Renew Financial and PACE financing.
The contractor I chose to go with explained how PACE worked, and it was literally like a walk in the park. I had initially applied with another financing company but after learning more about PACE financing, I decided that PACE was a better option for me.
I did my research before jumping in, for the pros and cons. After looking into the cons in more detail, I didn't find them concerning. It seemed that most of the compalints were from people who didn’t follow the process and signed documents before their project was complete, or that they didn't compare prices and ended up paying more than they should have.
My advice to anyone looking into PACE financing or any other type of financing is to do their own research, ask a lot of questions, get estimates from two to three contractors, follow instructions, and most importantly to be honest with themselves to stay out of trouble - "don't borrow more than you know you can afford even if you qualify for it."
The process to get PACE financing for my solar panels was simple and quick. I applied online and was approved the same day. All in all, working with Renew Financial to get PACE financing was a pleasant and stress-free experience for me. I am very comfortable with my decision and do not have any concerns or doubts about it. Once I was approved, I was actually very excited to move forward with the installation of my solar panels and move into the future of solar energy.
